Mission: As part <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> Homeland Security’s overall Border Infrastructure Improvement Program,<br />
the wall’s primary function is to prevent vehicles from crossing along this section <strong>of</strong> the border.<br />
Project Highlights<br />
• Civil engineering, surveying and construction staking<br />
services under a design-build contract<br />
• 1.6 miles <strong>of</strong> border fence and access roads along the<br />
US - Mexico border<br />
• Survey crews traveled over extremely remote Arizona<br />
desert paths to access the site to locate boundary<br />
monumentation between the two countries
