2nd Annual PetSmart<br />
Charities ® PetWalk<br />
The 2nd Annual PetSmart Charities PetWalk<br />
presented by Purina Pro Plan is more than a<br />
walk; it’s a festival to celebrate the love we<br />
have for pets! Your participation will raise<br />
money for local animal-welfare agencies<br />
and help the thousands of homeless pets<br />
throughout Arizona. The event will include<br />
5K and 1-mile walks (for humans and their<br />
four-legged companions) as well as fun activities<br />
for children, adults and pets.<br />
The event will take place Feb. 21 at Tempe<br />
Town Lake, 620 N. Mill Ave. Activities begin<br />
at 1 p.m. The 5K walk begins at 2:30 p.m. The<br />
1-Mile walk will take place at 2:45 p.m.<br />
There are many ways to get involved with the<br />
2nd Annual PetSmart Charities PetWalk to<br />
help raise money for homeless pets!<br />
Register – join in to walk, fundraise and<br />
help save the lives of homeless pets Even if<br />
you can’t make it to the actual event, you can<br />
still register and fundraise as a virtual walker.<br />
Registration is $25.<br />
Donate – contribute funds or in-kind goods<br />
and services for the 2nd Annual PetSmart<br />
Charities PetWalk<br />
Volunteer – help out on the day of the 2nd<br />
Annual PetSmart Charities PetWalk and<br />

the last voice for dogs and cats who, through<br />
no fault of their own, find themselves<br />
awaiting death at our county pounds.<br />

Apple is a long legged Pug with an adorable<br />
under-bite and the typical Pug snort!<br />
She is also very active, playful, affectionate<br />
and walks very well on a leash.<br />
Apple loves people and is looking for a<br />
home where she can get a lot of attention,<br />
daily walks, lots of snuggling and play<br />
time with other dogs.<br />
Nico<br />
Nico is a strong proponent of open<br />
lines of communication. When Nico<br />
has something important on his mind,<br />
whether it is the need for love, food, or<br />
playtime, he is not afraid of vocalizing<br />
his opinion! He has communicated to us<br />
that he is looking for a home with rooms<br />
to explore, a family to love, and maybe<br />
another feline friend or two to be his<br />
comrade in arms when it is playtime.<br />
