The plaintiff claims under a lease from the<br />

rrincess Victoria Kamamaln and M. Krknanaoa.<br />

dated Jan. 1. 1554. for tha term of twenty years<br />

from its date, which lease was. duly acknowledged,<br />

aad recorded March 30. 161.<br />

The defendant are in possession c.f the prem-<br />

ises, the asDoal rental and profits of which are<br />

Eve daars. and have held possession thereof<br />

siece April 11. 1S65. onder a deed of conveyance<br />

from Charles C Harris. Trnstee of the aid lrin-ce- ss<br />

Victoria Kimareilu. dated April 11. 1S65.<br />

which deed was dnly acknowledged and recorded<br />

on the day of its date. The said Charles C<br />

Harris eiade acd executed the said deed' under<br />

aad by virtue of a deed of trust from the said<br />

Priacess Victoria Kamasvala to him, dated April<br />

S. 1564. and dnly acknowledged and recorded April<br />

11. ISSt. which said deed of trust conferred the<br />

power to coKeet and pay debts, bnt gave no ex-<br />

press power of sale.<br />
