BUT HE SAYS HE'S NEVER SEEN ANYTHING AS HEARTBREAKING AS THESE HORSES
SEIZED BY THE BOSSIER SHERIFF'S OFFICE..
((SOT)) (Jorden) "I don't think we've ever had none as bad as this horse."
THIS MARE IS ONE OF FOUR HORSES TAKEN FROM THIS HOME IN PRINCETON.. THEIR
OWNER, STEPHON CLEVELAND, IS CHARGED WITH SIMPLE CRUELTY.
((SOT)) (Baswell) "This is bad. This is terrible."
BOSSIER LT. ED BASWELL SAYS THE ANIMALS HAD GONE WITHOUT FOOD AND WATER
FOR QUITE SOME TIME..
((SOT)) (Baswell) "These animals suffer and of course animals can't tell you when they're
suffering, but it's obvious by looking at them that they were suffering."
THESE ARE PICTURES DEPUTIES TOOK BEFORE SEIZING THE HORSES.. AUTHORITIES
SAY THEY WERE TIED UP, ONE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD, WITH NOTHING BUT DIRT
WITHIN THEY'RE REACH.. THEY SAY THIS ONE WAS JUST DAYS AWAY FROM DYING.

THE HORSES WERE BROUGHT TO JORDEN'S FRIDAY MORNING.. HE SAYS THEY
HAVEN'T STOPPED EATING SINCE.
((SOT)) (Stand Up) "Jorden says each of the horses are several hundred pounds underweight
and it could take two to three months for them to eat themselves back to normal."
AUTHORITIES SAY IT WAS A CONCERNCED CITIZEN WHO CALLED THE BRAND
COMMISSION AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE ANIMALS.
IT WASN'T LONG AFTER THAT.. THE HORSES WERE CHECKED OUT BY A VET.. AND
MOVED TO A MUCH GREENER AND HEALTHIER PASTURE.
