SPECTROSCOPIC REFERENCE MATERIALS - Cast Irons<br />
These samples are intended for the calibration <strong>of</strong> optical emission and XRF instruments with respect to the alloying and trace elements below. Although they have been carefully analysed by both <strong>BAS</strong> <strong>Ltd</strong>.<br />
and an independent laboratory, they have been classified as RMs and not CRMs in order to distinguish them from <strong>BAS</strong> CRMs which are normally analysed by at least five laboratories.<br />
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION (nominal mass content in %)<br />
Cast Iron <strong>Reference</strong> <strong>Materials</strong> ( All are 40mm x 37mm x 10mm chill cast blocks except NIRM 2/1, NIRM 8/1, SIMO 1/2 and SIMO 2/2 which are 48mm x 42mm x 12mm chill cast blocks)<br />
These samples have been prepared jointly by Castings Technology International (formerly BCIRA) and <strong>BAS</strong><br />
