Forest County Motor Sports Crandon International Off-Road Raceway When you think of a 900 HP race truck flying hundreds of feet through the air or six trucks rounding turn one side by side, you can only be thinking about one place. That special place features the only land rush start in off-road racing as the beginning of a 1.75 mile adventure punishing man and machine. Yes, you are right at home in Crandon, Wisconsin. You are at the Big House! Celebrating 43 years of continuous racing action, the Crandon International Off-Road Raceway Association (CIORA) is the longest running event in the country. Known as the “World Capital of Off-Road Racing”, the Big House is world famous for two annual events that set the standard for short course off-road racing. The 2012 season will fire up with the Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run on June 16 &17 featuring the FCP Chairman’s Cup. Participating professional drivers from California to New York and all points in between challenge each other for a taste of the glory and a place in Crandon history. The Labor Day weekend brings the largest, most prestigious and much anticipated event in off -road racing to the Big House on August 31 – September 2, featuring the World Championship Off-Road Races® presented by AMSOIL. This is where drivers give it all up, pushing man and machine over 100 MPH for the right to be crowned a world champion in front of 40,000 fans. Located on over 400 acres of pristine northwoods beauty, the Big House is famous not only for the offroad action on the track, but also for the action on our Traxxas RC track. Built in the likeness of the Big House, the RC track features every amenity you could ask for, complete with a waterfall and large pavilion. One of the largest campgrounds in the northwoods, Crandon International is open from May 1 to October 30. Park your motorhome on a fully improved spot or set up your tent and enjoy one of over 1,900 sites available.
