FIRST term and the weather protests mightily against the advent of
fall. Many a student is betrayed into languorous spring fever; indeed
no one is seriously convinced that autumn has really come, for Indian
summer is upon us with all her sultry graces. Only the trees faithfully
advise that autumn is here.
With the advance of October the leaves turn reel and yellow, flaunt
their colors for a week or two, then wither up and fall. At Towson they
drift over a dormitory already at the second floor. Before the leaves
begin to drop, however, Student Org sponsors a campus party for inspec-
