Pro 620 Golden Proteksan
by Proteksan Turquoise Yachts
Proteksan Turquoise Yachts, the well-known shipyard with headquarters and facilities
in Turkey, recently revealed some of the new super yacht concepts it currently has in
the advanced phases of development. Numerous luxury mega yacht designs are now
on the drawing board with lengths from 50 to 80 metres, including an innovative
series with a contemporary plumb bow design, consisting of two new models: the Pro
Plumb 550, 55 metres / 180 feet in length, and the Pro Plumb 640, 64 metres / 210
feet in length.
Proteksan Turquoise is also offering an exclusive series in a modern style with a
streamlined bow, available on the world market in two new models: the Pro 620
Golden, 62 metres / 203 feet in length, and the Pro 750 Golden, 75 metres / 246 feet
in length. Both the new models were devised in-house by the Proteksan Turquoise
Yachts Design Team, led by the talented designer Selahattin Üldas.
Although they share the same concept design and have a similar exterior design, the
two vessels differ in the number of decks – five on the Pro 620 Golden and six on the
Pro 750 Golden – as well as their lengths. In this issue of Yacht Première, we present
the design and renders for the Pro 620 Golden. Like the larger model, the Pro 750
Golden, Proteksan Turquoise based the design of the new Pro 620 Golden on tried
and tested naval architecture, in this case that of an extensively tested hull shape built
on the optimised 60 metre / 197 foot naval platform.
The build will use steel for the hull and aluminium for the superstructure, and the
calculated design displacement is estimated at 1,000 tonnes. In terms of size, the new
Pro 620 Golden has an overall length of 62.00 metres / 203’0” with a length at the
waterline of 55.56 metres / 180’6”, an overall beam of 10.40 metres / 33’8” and a
hull draught of 3.50 metres / 11’4”.
look.

The engine room of the Pro 620 Golden will contain two Caterpillar CAT 3512 B
series engines, each with maximum power of 1,911 BHP / 1,425 bkW supplied at
1,600 rpm.
Two main generators from Caterpillar’s CAT C9 series will also be installed, each
supplying 175 ekW / 219 kVA at 1,800 rpm.
In terms of performance, the new Pro 620 Golden will have a top speed of 17 knots
and will be able to maintain a cruising speed of 15 knots. Hold capacity will be
120,000 litres / 31,746 US gallons of fuel and 30,000 litres / 7,936 US gallons of
fresh water.
Although the exterior appearance of the Pro 620 Golden boasts elegantly clean,
soaring lines that give it a dynamic sleekness, the new yacht’s interior has a huge
volume, ensuring that there is plenty of space.
A functional, carefully thought-out layout accommodates 14 passengers in four
guest staterooms and two VIP staterooms as well as an Owner’s suite, with 16 crew
in seven crew cabins and the captain’s cabin.
The concept for the new Pro 620 Golden favours the interiors and emphasises the
exterior areas partly thanks to large windows offering panoramic views, and huge
open spaces allowing direct involvement with the surrounding environment.
The yacht offers the Owner and guests a multitude of areas for entertainment,
socialising and relaxation, including the beach club, sunbathing area, pool, Jacuzzi
tubs, open air lounge and alfresco dining area. All this is accompanied by numerous
extras, such as a gym, massage room and library.
Proteksan Turquoise offers alternative layout solutions for its Pro 620 Golden in
addition to the standard general arrangement: in particular, the mega yacht is very
flexible in terms of the location and layout of the Owner’s area, which offers 120 m 2
of private space available for any requirement.
There are two main options available on request for the Owner’s suite of the Pro
620 Golden: one configuration places it in the classic position forward on the main
deck, while another configuration places it in the modern position aft on the upper
deck.
Thanks to this solution, the Owner is also free to choose whether to have his
stateroom or private salon beside the glass door leading directly to the private
terrace, which is equipped with a sunbathing area and a swimming pool offering
complete privacy.
