For Misty Reimer, mother <strong>of</strong> two, it<br />
was a true honor to have her<br />
daughter chosen as Baby <strong>of</strong> <strong>2011</strong>.<br />
Nine months ago on March 31, <strong>2011</strong>,<br />
Misty and her husband, Jerrod, were<br />
blessed with their second child, Kynzie<br />
Willow Reimer.<br />
She answers to the nicknames<br />
“Sissy” or “Sister,” flashing a smile<br />
that lights up the room as she<br />
shows <strong>of</strong>f her two front bottom<br />
teeth. <strong>The</strong> only time this little<br />
ball <strong>of</strong> joy is not smiling is<br />
when she<br />
is being<br />
dressed<br />
o r<br />
Mommy<br />
puts a<br />
bow or<br />
headband<br />
in her hair.<br />
“Yeah bows and headbands do not last long<br />
with her,” Reimer said. “Socks go pretty<br />
quick too.”<br />
What puts the smile back on Kynzie’s face<br />
is watching “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” on<br />
TV, bath time and playing with her big brother,<br />
Jayce Rocket, 3.<br />
“When my husband first told Jayce that<br />
they were going to the hospital to visit<br />
Mommy and his baby sister, he responded by<br />
asking, ‘She’s out <strong>of</strong> Mommy’s tummy?’ he<br />
was so happy,” Reimer said. “Jayce is also the<br />
one who gave Kynzie her first stuffed animal,<br />
a pink giraffe.”<br />
<strong>The</strong> giraffe is now her favorite toy along<br />
with her Doodle Bug Activity Center that<br />
was brought to her by Santa Claus on her<br />
first Christmas. Her favorite food is any kind<br />
<strong>of</strong> vegetable, and she is repulsed by chicken<br />
and gravy baby food. Her mother says she<br />
refuses to crawl but gets around the house by<br />
rolling everywhere. And although there is<br />
much love between the two children, Kynzie<br />
is known for making her brother mad by<br />
stealing his blankets.
