Leeds boys pile on points
The last seven days have been
good for all concerned at Leeds
as United's 2-1 win at Crystal
Palace closed the gap on the top
two in the Coca-Cola
Championship.
Automatic promotion is a real
possibility and chairman Ken
Bates has rewarded manager
Kevin Blackwell with a new threeyear
deal at Elland Road.
While Blackwell continued to outfox
the rest of the division off the
field, on the pitch it was the front
two of Robbie Blake and Rob
Hulse causing the damage.
Both strikers were on the scoresheet
at Selhurst Park and made
the Actim team of the week with
scores of 0.37 and 0.41 points
respectively.
Blake's performance capped a fine
30th birthday for the former Burnley
man, and moved him to within 0.31
points of the overall Actim top 20
with an Index score of 5.06.

midfielder Joey Gudjonsson who
weighed in with two spectacular
strikes in the 3-2 win over Hull and
earned an Actim score of 0.53.
