Chapel Yard
When you turn into the Chapel Yard, the first thing you will see is
a stone crucifix chiselled by a local stonemason named Thomas
Curry which was presented to St. Mary’s Church in the mid 19th
century. On one side of the cross is a figure of the Crucifixion, and
on the other is a Stabat Mater which depicts the mother of Jesus at
the foot of the cross.
