Euro-Mediterranean Ateliers Examples Several artworks produced as part of the Euro-Mediterranean Ateliers will feature in the Here, Elsewhere exhibition. Lebanese artist Mona Hatoum will mix different materials as part of her residency at Aubagne’s Arnoux boiler company and Marseille’s CIRVA, Artist the international centre for research on glass and contemporary art. Egyptian artist Waël Shawky is working on a film on the crusades through Arab eyes, with support from Aubagne’s clay sector. He will work with the ADEF-Ecole de la Céramique de Provence to develop clay marionettes and Satis for the video. Palestinian artist Taysir Batniji will take up residence at the traditional soap maker Marius Fabre in Salon-de-Provence, where he will produce a soap sculpture on the theme of universal values. French-Algerian artist Zineb Sedira will create a video-vision of the flows and mobility at France’s largest port, the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille.
