PAGE 12 School of the Environment By housing together Flinders diverse environmental expertise under one roof, our School of the Environment incorporates our world-class skills and experience and provide multidisciplinary approaches to global problems. The establishment of the School also increases our capacity to train experts and provide vital environmental research. Research Flinders continues to lead the way through our highly regarded research centres, including Flinders Institute of Housing, Urban and Regional Environments; Flinders Research Centre for Coastal and Catchment Environments; and Airborne Research Australia. Flinders is also the lead organisation of the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training. Education Flinders has created specialised degrees to ensure students gain the skills and knowledge needed to make a difference in the environment today and meet the challenges of tomorrow. FINALISTS THE FLEURIEU LANDSCAPE ART PRIZE (MAIN PRIZE) Sponsored by Willunga Basin Water Company & Trility Group Hardys Tintara Winery / Main Road McLaren Vale A $50,000 prize (non acquisitive) for landscape painting depicting any landscape. This prize celebrates the enduring importance and contemporary significance of landscape painting while exploring the changing nature of painting as a medium. The selected finalist works will be exhibited at Hardys Winery, McLaren Vale.
