Owner’s Statement: Although lightly shown, Velvet has won numerous ribbons
in junior horse english pleasure and pleasure driving classes in 2008 and
2009. Because she is consistently willing to give her all and try her best to please
her rider or driver, she would be an excellent prospect for an amateur owner/
trainer/rider/driver. All of Velvet’s training has been by Terry Rutledge, who has
taken very many horses to national and regional titles. Velvet is very sensible,
yet with lots of heart and action. She is a very people-oriented, loving horse in
the stall or the pasture. Velvet will leave her feed box to come over for a nuzzle
and visit. Her bloodlines will make her an outstanding broodmare when her
show ring career is over. Her pedigree represents some of the finest Serenity
bloodlines and Elm Hill Charter Oak on the top and bottom.
