Global IP portfolio management – Opportunities and challenges
In a globalized economy, IP portfolio management is important not just for large corporations. For small and medium-sized enterprises with specialized
know-how or technology, a systematic IP portfolio management is often crucial for success. The main objective of successful portfolio management
should be to maximize the value of the individual property rights. The seminar explains how IP rights can be used and combined to safeguard
business interests vis-à-vis (potential) infringers and competitors. Major differences between IP practices in the US and in Europe will be highlighted.
