from house to house, they make back-calls, they<br />
conduct Bible studies in the homes of the people<br />
and they gather other sheep into the congregation<br />
of Jehovah. The New World society, as we see it<br />
operating under seventy-five branches throughout<br />
the world, is proof of the individuals' ministry. Jehovah's<br />
witnesses can show that they, too, "did<br />
not hold back from telling you any of the things<br />
that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly<br />
and from house to house." (Acts 20:20, NW)<br />
Just as the apostles in days gone by did, so even<br />
now "every day in the temple and from house to<br />
house they continued without letup teaching and<br />
declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus."<br />

Jehovah's witnesses are a society of ministers<br />
and servants of God who walk in the footsteps of<br />
Christ Jesus. They rejoice in the great privilege<br />
of service that is theirs. In order to assist all the<br />
hundreds of thousands of ministers now making<br />
up the New World society, from among this great<br />
group the Society appoints special servants, who<br />
serve as branch servants, district servants, circuit<br />
servants, members of Bethel families in branch<br />
offices, or in some special capacity in some missionary<br />
field. With these special privileges of service<br />
come greater responsibilities of leadership, zeal<br />
and setting the proper example as Christians. The<br />
Society is pleased to set out here this list of<br />
servants assigned to special duties.<br />
