recognition technology that can overlay onto existing security systems. Based in
Charlottesville, Virginia.
TapRoot Systems Inc. – Provides software and services for mobile phone
manufacturers and wireless operators worldwide. Based in Research Triangle Park,
North Carolina.
Unitrends Software Corporation – Offers business system continuity solutions
to small- and medium-sized businesses, enabling them to get back on track
when their systems or servers fail. Provides disk-to-disk, highspeed data backup
and recovery capabilities in a cost-effective appliance-based solution. Based in

that addresses unmet oral care needs by amplifying the mouth’s natural defense
and repair mechanisms. Based in Alachua, Florida. Sold to a public company in
