largest collection of entrance tickets for the Olympic<br />

Games 1936 in Berlin! All in all 354 tickets!! Building a<br />

comprehensive nearly complete documentation (95%<br />

of all tickets issued in Berlin!!) of the production of thes<br />

tickets for the „modern Games“. Including many extremely<br />

rare items such as 3 complete sets of tickets for<br />

„Radio and TV“, „Press“ and „VIP Tickets“. 17 different<br />

complete sets, 35 VIP Day tickets and 14 participant‘s<br />

cards. Tickets for all sporting catagories, tickets for every<br />

day of the Games. The collection is the result of 15<br />

years of intensive research and collecting activities!! A<br />

manifold of types, colours, sizes seldom and very rare<br />

items and some very surprising specials!!!<br />

640. Olympic Games Paris 1924. Olympic Art Competition.<br />

Olympic Sport portfolio folder from Jean Jacoby with 8<br />

high quality original lithographic drawings of sporting<br />

scenes. Jacoby from Luxembourg won the Gold Medal<br />

in this competition! The drawings each sized 35x53<br />

cm depict the following scenes: Rugby 2pcs.sprinters,<br />

hurdlers and relay runners, football and diving. Only<br />

very few portfolios were issued, this copy is slightly<br />

soiled with small tears on the edges, the drawings however<br />

are in good condition. A wonderfull very seldom<br />

unique item!!!<br />

641. Olympic Games 1924. Olympic Art Exhibition. Olympic<br />

Sport portfolio folder with hand drawn runner and m/c<br />

Olympic Rings in card, bound with cloth. Inside with 16<br />

high quality original lithographic drawings of sporting<br />

scenes. The port folio was more than likley an artist‘s<br />

contribution to the Olympic Art Competition in Paris.<br />

Although the folder or drawings are not signed the style<br />

is that of Jean Jacoby from Luxembourg who won<br />

the Gold Medal in this competition! The drawings each<br />

sized 45x34 cm are all in passepartouts, sized 58x45cm<br />

and are all very expressive illustrations in a very high,<br />

technical and artistic style and standard and depict the<br />

following: 1) Ski Slalom; 2) Boxer; 3) Handball Player; 4)<br />

Weightlifter; 5) Hurdler; 6) Ice Scating Pair; 7) Pole Vaulter;<br />

8) Discus Thtrower; 9) Rower (4 or 8 man boats);<br />

10) Polo Player; 11) Watererball; 12) Runner crossing<br />

the winning line; 13) Relay; 14) Wrestling; 15) Javelin<br />

Thrower; and 16) Shot Putter, all are Olympic disciplines.<br />

A wonderfull unique item!!!<br />

to the Olympic Congress in 1930 by the City‘s Magistrates.<br />

Book of application from the Town of Berlin for<br />

the Olympic Games in 1936. The Bid was then accepted<br />

by the Congress, other candidates were: Alexandria,<br />

Barcelona, Budapest, Buneos Aires, Dublin, Frankfurt,<br />

Cologne, Helsinki, Nuernberg and Rome. Very rare<br />

book printed in 1930. Size 31x23 cm, 44 pages with 50<br />

photos and plans. Cover slightly soiled, inside edges a<br />

little wavy. (FRENCH/GERMAN/ENGLISH).<br />

691. Olympic Winter Games 1936. „Bid Book“: GPk. At the<br />

32nd IOC Session in Vienna 1933, Germany (as chosen<br />

site for the Olympic Summer Games 1936) took advantage<br />

of their right to carry out the Winter Olympics too.<br />

In order to justify the decision this „presentation book“<br />

was produced as a form of confi rmation validating the<br />

using of this right. A very rare item with 30 pages, sized<br />

36x24cm, with 36 original mounted photos of<br />

Sporting“ Garmisch-Patenkirchen (with hand written<br />

legends) which was presented to the Session „ in your<br />

loyal service“ by the local goverment of the town! Cover<br />

with small defect, some pages wiith small tears.<br />
