A decisão foi tomada pelo presidente Horta eo primeiro-ministro Xanana Gusmão, ontem durante a reunião de Defesa e do Conselho de Segurança realizada no Palácio Presidente Nicolau Lobato em Aitarak Laran, Dili. Eu expliquei este caso ao presidente Horta e ele concorda com isso e dizendo que se o Governo concorda em seguida, o presidente também concorda com a renúncia de Taur. Temos planejado para realizar uma cerimônia sobre este caso em 06 de outubro, disse Gusmão PM. Ele acrescentou: É claro que o general Lere está lá para substituir Taur. THE STATE through President José Ramos Horta has agreed with the resignation letter from the General Commander of the Timor Leste Defence Force (FFDTL) Major General Taur Matan Ruak, adding that Brigadier General Lere Anan Timur will substitute Taur to lead F-FDTL. The decision was made by President Horta and Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão yesterday during the Defence and Security Council meeting held at the President Palace Nicolau Lobato in Aitarak Laran, Dili. I explained this case to President Horta and he agrees about it and saying that if the Government agrees then the president also agrees with Taur’s resignation. We have planned to hold a ceremony about this case in October 6, PM Gusmão said. He added, It is clear that General Lere is there to substitute Taur. I could not nominate a Sergeant to Substitute Taur to lead F-FDTL and ignore General Lere, PM Gusmão said. MP Moizes affirmed that the Government should guarantee people’s right and create a decree law so that they could participate in the general election.
