These tests give <strong>de</strong>tails that h<strong>el</strong>p p<strong>la</strong>n training programme and <strong>de</strong>ci<strong>de</strong><br />

the competition rhythm, this is correct <strong>de</strong>p<strong>en</strong>ding on stable weather conditions<br />

during the actual competition. The same tests are repeated 5 weeks <strong>la</strong>ter, after<br />

realising a specific training in or<strong>de</strong>r to improve the marathon rhythm.<br />

4.- Result.<br />

Through a specific training with weekly training of which 12% to 16% of<br />

the kilometres ran will be carried out at marathon/competition race pace and a<br />

25% of the weekly kilometres run at a pace 10% slower than the race rhythm,<br />

with this method the result can be a 10% improvem<strong>en</strong>t in the anaerobic<br />

threshold.<br />

5.- Conclusion<br />

Applying the correct race rhythms can substantially improve results in the<br />

marathon race.<br />

Des<strong>de</strong> que <strong>el</strong> guerrero Filípi<strong>de</strong>s llevará a At<strong>en</strong>as <strong>la</strong> noticia <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> victoria<br />

sobre <strong>los</strong> persas, parti<strong>en</strong>do <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> l<strong>la</strong>nura <strong>de</strong> Maratón, muchos son <strong>los</strong> cambios<br />

que han acontecido <strong>en</strong> esta disciplina, que Coubertin incorporó <strong>en</strong> <strong>el</strong> programa<br />

<strong>de</strong> <strong>los</strong> primeros juegos Olímpicos At<strong>en</strong>i<strong>en</strong>ses. De todos <strong>el</strong><strong>los</strong>: materiales,<br />

intereses comerciales, tácticas, etc.., <strong>el</strong> que <strong>en</strong> este trabajo va a ser objeto <strong>de</strong><br />

avance <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> ci<strong>en</strong>cia <strong>de</strong>l <strong>en</strong>tr<strong>en</strong>ami<strong>en</strong>to, si<strong>en</strong>do <strong>en</strong> muchos casos <strong>la</strong> irrupción<br />

<strong>de</strong> un <strong>de</strong>portista <strong>de</strong> alto niv<strong>el</strong> con un programa concreto <strong>de</strong> <strong>en</strong>tr<strong>en</strong>ami<strong>en</strong>to, lo<br />

que ha hecho surgir multitud <strong>de</strong> estudios alre<strong>de</strong>dor <strong>de</strong> su forma <strong>de</strong> trabajo, con<br />

lo que se han visto b<strong>en</strong>eficiados otros <strong>de</strong>portistas.<br />

Entr<strong>en</strong>ar es para Manno (1) “un proceso complejo <strong>de</strong> actuaciones cuya<br />

finalidad es <strong>en</strong>señar <strong>la</strong> técnica <strong>de</strong>portiva y su perfeccionami<strong>en</strong>to, <strong>de</strong> una<br />

manera s<strong>en</strong>cil<strong>la</strong> y articu<strong>la</strong>da, individual, <strong>en</strong> grupo o <strong>en</strong> equipo, y que ti<strong>en</strong>e<br />

t<strong>en</strong><strong>de</strong>ncia al <strong>de</strong>sarrollo <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong>s cualida<strong>de</strong>s psicofísicas ori<strong>en</strong>tadas al logro <strong>de</strong><br />

resultados <strong>de</strong>portivos <strong>de</strong> máximo niv<strong>el</strong>, con re<strong>la</strong>ción a <strong>la</strong>s capacida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong>l<br />
