To get the camera fully operational fi rst you
need to insert the battery and then a mini SD
card. You can buy one from 2gb capacity right
up to 64. The slot in the side is clear enough.
Through the USB cable you can charge the
battery by hooking it to a computer, wall adapter
(like most iPhones now have) or even a car
adapter. It will take at least an hour for the battery
to be 80% plugging into the ‘mains’ and
don’t worry if you are running low while recording;
the GoPro saves your recording before
powering off.
A size comparison of the camera to an iPhone
shows you the relative small piece of technology
you’re dealing with. There are three principal
buttons and two lights. The small circle on
the side activates the Wifi capabilities enabling
sync with the remote control or the free, downloadable
iPhone App from the website. Then
there is the power/mode button on the front of
the camera – where the metal housing nodule
makes contact through the housing – and a
shutter/select button on the top.
