The Led will turn on red. - To correctly memorize the functions of the steering-wheel commands, start programming from function (VOLUME-). Press VOLUME- on the Steering-Wheel, so that the Led will switch Red, confirming that memorization has successfully been carried out. The same memorization-procedure has to be used also for all remaining functions. - ATTENTION: The Central-Box is ready to effect 10 different Functions, ALL of which have to be Activated or De-Activated. For Activation, press the Steering-Wheel-keys. For De-Activation, press the PRG-key situated on the Central-Unit. Example for the programming-procedure of a CLARION-radio, with 5 keys available on the Steering-.Wheel, and the aim of memorizing the functions Vol- Vol+ Seek- Seek+ and Mute. Related procedure: press one time only, the keys Vol- Vol+ Seek- Seek+, the PRG-key on the Central-unit in order to de-activate the function (FUNC), and the Mute-key. Finally, press 4 times the PRG-key to complete the programming-phase. Once the programming-phase has been correctly completed, the LED will turn GREEN and continue flashing. Now, the car-radio-memorization can be effected.
MEMORIZING THE CAR-RADIO-BRAND Once the steering-wheel command-keys have been established, press SEEK+ to memorize the CLARION radio-models. To memorize other radio-brands, use the steering-wheel commands and press the keys Vol+ and SEEK+ - Press Vol+ as many times as indicated in the Table shown below. Please check that the LED flashes the number of times stated in the Table. The whole flash-cycle ends with a pause, and starts again, until you press SEEK+. By pressing SEEK+ memorization takes place and the LED will turn GREEN and remain constantly lighted. - IMPORTANT: the LED has to flash exactly the number of times stated for the radio-brand/model. If the flash-number does not correspond, programming can be corrected as follows: Press Vol+, if number of flashes is smaller than stated in the Table. Press Vol-, if number of flashes is higher than stated in the Table. Switch-on the car-radio and fix on the required radio-station. Use the steeringwheel-commands to select the requested functions. In case of unnormal events, re-set the central-box and repeat the programming-procedure. GENERAL RE-SET Eliminate the connector from the central-unit. Then press PRG, while inserting the connector again, and keep PRG pressed. The LED of the central-unit will start flashing slowly. As soon as it flashes more rapidly, lift the finger from the PRG-key. The RESET-procedure will be confirmed by one only RED flashing of the LED. If the LED does not show this Red single Flash, simply repeat this operation. ! • ATTENTION: Do NOT open or modify the appliance. Use the product only on vehicles having a 12V-battery. Make sure replacement fuses have the correct Amp.-value. Make sure the connections are carried out correctly. Avoid that the cables get imprisoned by nearby objects. • IMPORTANT: Installation and Connections need to be carried out by trained and well-informed personnel. • Place the cables in such a way to avoid that they get folded or compressed by sharp metal pieces. • Do not install in humid or dusty locations.
