forces the air (2) through the
burner which heats it (3) and
then transfers it along a
thermally insulated steel duct
(4) into the ring distributor
which starts it rotating
(5) inside the drying tower.
Here the hot air collides
with the slip (A), fed at
constant pressure by the pump
(B) through the filters (C) into
a series of calibrated-aperture
nozzles.
The nozzles, mounted on
a ring or on radial lances,
nebulize the slip.
(6) Thus dried, the product
falls to the bottom of the tower
where it is off-loaded onto a
conveyor belt that transports
it to the storage silos.
(7) The separator cyclones
capture the damp air and
eliminate most of the
suspended fine powder.
(8) The main fan (9) sends the
air into the dust separator
device which completes
powder elimination.
(10) The clean air is expelled
through the stack.
The entire cycle is controlled
electronically.
