CERTIFICADO DE ENSAYO (método Australiano)
test certificate. (Australian method).
Ceramic floor tiles may become less resistant to slip as long as they are increasingly used and the time they have been installed. In order to
estimate the durability of our antislip floor tiles, we have carried out tests based on the Australian method in Slip Check Pty Ltd Test Facilities,
Marsfield NSW ( Australia ) according to AS/NZ 4586:2004 Appendix A. The antislip surface of the samples tested were subjected to a number
of cycles of controlled wear with an abrasive material type 3M Scotchbrite Heavy Duty Scour Pad No 86 continuously wet with water. The
results of that wear and its action on the antislip capacity of the tested samples are evaluated through the Pendulum Method of Determination
of Slip Resistance with a “Four S” rubber. After these tests have been carried out, the results can be viewed in the certificate printed hereafter.
As we can see in this test, the level of wear after 1000 cycles is stable with no loss of antislip features , remaining even after 5000 cycles.
Based on initial case studies, the following estimates are generalised and are speculative only for moderate to high trafficable pedestrian areas.
