Expected Exports Projections of 15 million dollars for Dairy Products
According to the National Health Service
(SENASA), exports of dairy products in the regional
and United States market
would bring about 15 million
dollars ( about 300 million
Lempiras) to the Honduran
economy.
SENASA authorities claimed that there is a high demand for
these products, mainly for sour cream and fresh cheese,
which exports to El Salvador have been constant.
SENASA also assured that the exchange
of dairy products in the region is important
because it strengthens the livestock
sector. Therefore, Olancho dairy manufactures
have sent SENASA requests to install
processing plants.
