Take a tour of our school including the Kindergarten Classrooms
Only families with proof of Santa Monica residence
(within McKinley School boundaries)
will be given enrollment packets at this time.
Enrollment packets will be available
starting March 3 rd after the Kindergarten Orientation.
Please have with you a current: Gas bill, Electric bill or
Water bill in your name and your CA Driver’s License or
CA ID card showing your current address.

Welcome to McKinley School!
Registering your child in a school for the first time can be relatively easy if you are prepared. Following are a few guidelines
to help you: Before an enrollment packet is given out, we need to verify your residence. We will need the following:
1. Your current CA Driver’s License or CA I.D. card (if the Driver’s License or I.D. card show the previous address,
the parent will need to go to the DMV and obtain an address change). We need a copy of the address change
from the DMV.
2. A current gas or electric bill in one or both parents name showing an address within the McKinley School
boundaries.
3. The student’s birth certificate or passport (you do not need to bring to Kindergarten Orientation)
4. Immunization records (you do not need to bring to Kindergarten Orientation)
KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS - MUST BE 5 YEARS OLD BY DECEMBER 2nd
of the school year for which they are being enrolled.

POLIO (AT LEAST 3 DOSES IF LAST DOSE IS ON OR AFTER 4TH B-DAY OR 4 DOSES ANY AGE)
DPT (AT LEAST 4 DOSES IF LAST DOSE IS ON OR AFTER 4TH B-DAY OR 5 DOSES AT ANY AGE)
MMR (2 DOSES BOTH GIVEN ON OR AFTER AGE 1)
TB TEST MANTOUX PPD - DATE ADMINISTERED, DATE READ AND RESULT MUST BE RECORDED ON
IMMUNIZATION RECORD. TEST MUST BE GIVEN WITHIN ONE YEAR PRIOR TO FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IN CA
HEPATITIS B ( 3 DOSES REQUIRED – 2 ND DOSE ONE MONTH AFTER 1 ST DOSE AND 3 RD DOSE 2 MONTHS AFTER
2 ND DOSE AND 4 MONTHS AFTER 1 ST DOSE)
VARICELLA (1 DOSE REQUIRED FOR KN ENTRY) - UNLESS CHILD HAS ALREADY HAD CHICKEN POX, IF SO WE
NEED VERIFICATION FROM YOUR DOCTOR
KINDERGARTEN Medical Exam (CHDP) – All tests must be performed after March 15 th
school year the student will be attending.

Habrá un recorrido (tour) de la escuela incluyendo las clases de Kindergarten
Sólo se darán paquetes de inscripción a familias con
prueba de la residencia de Santa Mónica (dentro de
límites Escolares McKinley) en este tiempo. Los paquetes
de inscripción serán disponibles el 3 de marzo
después de la Orientación.

de Agua a nombre suyo y su Lincencia de Manejar
ó de Identidad de CA mostrando a su dirección

Matricular a su hijo/a en la escuela por primera vez puede es facil si usted esta preparado. El seguir estas guias le
ayudara. Antes de entregarle el paquete de matricula, necesitamos verificar su residencia.
1. Necesitamos ver su licencia de manejo de California ó una identificación de California mostrando el domicilio de su
residencia (Si la licencia de manejo de California ó identificación de California muestran su domicilio anterior, Ud.
debe ir al Departamento de Motores y Vehiculos y pedir su cambio de domicilio). Necesitamos una copia del
cambio de domicilio del DMV.
2. Un cobro de gas ó electricidad a nombre de uno ó los dos padres mostrando su domicilio dentro de las fronteras de
la Escuela McKinley..
3. La acta de nacimiento or pasaporte del estudiante (no es necesario traer a la orientacion).
4. Comprobantes de vacunas (no es necesario traer a la orientacion).
Estudiantes de Kindergarten deben cumplir 5 años antes del año en que se van a matricular.
