It allows a maximum torque of31.580 Nm at 43 rpm in the first gear andstill has 4.150 Nm at increased 330 rpmin the third gear. This makes the RB 50a true Universal Heavy Duty Drilling Rig,being also capable of large diametercore-drilling (core diameters of 85 mm orlarger) and direction deviation drilling.Special high pressure inserts can beinstalled in any of the RB 50 powerswivels, enabling the user to employ highpressure Triplex piston mud pumps thatdeliver 80 bars or more. This is necessary,for example, when drilling highly deviatedwells using down-hole motor or turbines.In this case, the rig-mounted mud-linecorresponds with its pressure rating tothat of the power swivel, to a max. ofapprox. 100 bar (1450 psi).All power swivels can be equipped withclamping chucks in order to work withexternal upset-free, threaded casings upto 7" (178 mm) size fast and safely.Mud line systemAll mud lines on the RB 50 Drilling RigSeries have 4" (100 mm) diameter, inorder to reduce friction losses to aminimum.Break-out devicesA hydraulically driven break-out cylinderis also part of the standard equipment onthese drilling rigs. Using manual tongsdrill collars and stabilizers can be madeupand broken at pre-defined torques.Optionally, a break-out cylinder can beintegrated in the power swivel, thusenhancing the speed of these procedures.Additional rig componentsAll Rigs of this Series can be modified. Allsorts of aggregates, required for differentdrilling methods, can be installed on therig at customer request, or supplied asstand-by aggregates.
