The Kingdom of red shrimp and rice
Dénia se encuentra al norte de la provincia de Alicante,
es la capital de la comarca de la Marina
Alta. Fiel a su tradición histórica, su población mantiene
el carácter propio del mestizaje y de la influencia
de varias civilizaciones; sus gentes son afables
y extrovertidas, acogen al visitante y le ofrecen lo
mejor de su tierra y de su mar: servicios, comodidades,
gastronomía y ocio.
Sus playas discurren a lo largo de 20 kilómetros:
calas de roca y grandes extensiones de arena en
plena Costa Blanca. Dénia disfruta de buen clima
todo el año, además de un hermoso paisaje entre
el azul de sus aguas y la vegetación del parque natural
del Montgó.
Tras un paseo por la zona marítima, es recomendable
visitar otras tres zonas: el barrio marinero y la
zona portuaria, el centro histórico con su interesante
castillo, y el centro del municipio, donde se sitúa la
calle principal (Marqués del Campo).
La oferta hotelera y de alojamiento es excelente
con establecimientos de cuidada atención y calidad.
Dénia ofrece muchas actividades, una vida cultural
apasionante, ocio y contacto con la naturaleza,
como el turismo ornitológico o experiencias de avistamientos
de tortugas marinas, delfines y ballenas.
En el mar, múltiples opciones: navegar, excursiones
de pesca deportiva, y la práctica de deportes
como kayak, paddle surf, kitesurf, motos acuáticas,
flyboard, remo, donutski, snorkel, submarinismo, vela
y wake board.
Dénia cuenta con un club de golf privilegiado, La
Sella, rodeado por el Parque Natural del Montgó,
con 27 hoyos.
Otras iniciativas turísticas y deportivas son el cicloturismo,
el BTT (recorriendo cuatro vías verdes: Dénia,
La Safor, Torrecanals y L’Almadrava), segway,
quads, rutas en 4x4, tenis, equitación y multiaventura.

It’s located in the north of the Province of Alicante,
is the capital of the region of Marina Alta. Being
faithful to their historical tradition, the population has
kept their own miscegenation character and the influence
of other civilizations; they are very friendly
and outgoing, take in visitors and offer them the best
of their land and sea: services, gastronomy, leisure,
among others.
Their beaches have a length of 20 km: rocky coves,
big sand extensions along the Blanca Coast.
Dénia is known for having good weather all year
long, and also a lovely landscape which combines
the blue water and the vegetation of the Montgó
Natural Park.
After a walk in the sea zone, we suggest a visit to
the other 3 important areas of the city, the barrio
marinero and the port area, the historical center
with its castle, and the town center, where the main
street of Denia is located (Marqués del Campo).
There is a variety of high quality lodgings.
Dénia has an exciting cultural life, activities and
leisure. You can do activities related with nature as
ornithological tourism visits or sea turtles, dolphins
and whales sighting.
For the sea lovers, you have a lot of options: sport
fishing, kayak, paddle surf, kitesurf, jet skiing, flyboard,
rowing, donut ski, snorkeling, scuba diving,
sailing and wake board.
We have an exceptional golf club with 27 holes,
La Sella, surrounded by the Mongó Natural Park.
There are other activities as BTT (you have four green
tours: Denia, La Safor, Torrecanals y L’Almadrava),
segways, quads, 4x4 routes, tennis, horse riding and
multi adventure.
But the gastronomy is one of the best things in Denia,
here you mix the best products of the sea with
the Valencian vegetables, which can only result in
an exquisite Mediterranean diet.
