Catalogo Tlaloc 2019

La IWS Globe es una organización sin fines de
lucro establecida en enero del 2012 con el objetivo
de promover la técnica pictórica mas antigua
y enraizada en el mundo: la acuarela. El arte
reúne a la gente a pesar de las diferencias raciales,
de religión, cultura o distancia geográfica. Y
es por ello que, través de la acuarela nos hemos
fijado como misión promover la paz, la armonía
y el entendimiento y La IWS México como parte
de esta red global de sociedades acuarelistas,
hace lo propio en su país.
El Concurso y Exhibición de Acuarela “Premio
Tláloc 2019” abraza dicha filosofía y por ello me
gustaría agradecer a cada artista en lo particular
por ser parte de dicho evento y ser ejemplo del
trabajo conjunto con una meta en común.
Asimismo, es importante mencionar el gran
apoyo proporcionado por la Directora de Cultura
del Estado de México, Marcela Petricioli Salas
y del Directo del Museo de la Acuarela del Estado
de México, el Maestro Benito Nogueira Ruiz,
quienes están totalmente comprometidos con
el arte y la acuarela.
Finalmente quiero felicitar y desear al mejor a
Tere Lojero, líder de la IWS México y a su gran
equipo por tan excelente organización.

IWS Globe is a non-profit organization which was
established in January 2012 with the objective
of promoting the world’s oldest and most deeply
rooted painting technique: the art of watercolor.
Art brings people together despite differences in
race, religion, culture and distance. Through the
medium of Watercolor our mission is to boost
peace, harmony, love and understanding, and
the IWS Mexico, as part of a global network of
watercolor societies, encourages this mission as
well. The International Watercolor Contest and
Exhibition “Premio Tlaloc 2019” embraces this
philosophy and I would like to thank each artist
for taking part and setting an example to the
world of how people from diverse cultures can
come together and work on a common goal.
Also is very important to mention the great support
of Marcela Petricioli Salas,Director of the
Estado de México Culture Ministry and Master
Benito Nogueira Ruiz Director of the Estado de
Mexico Watercolor Museum, both committed
with art and watercolor. And finally, I want to
congratulate and wish the best to Tere Lojero,
IWS Mexico leader and her team for a fabulously
organized event.
La acuarela…ese medio pictórico que en el mundo
del arte exige un lugar y se abre paso poco a
poco, pero con gran decisión. La magia de esta
técnica asombra a quien observa sus nuevas
tendencias, los caminos que ésta sigue y sobretodo
su espontaneidad y frescura. Hoy día se
aprecian grandes obras de excepcional calidad
en diferentes muestras internacionales. México
es parte de este movimiento y este año se viste
de acuarela con el “Premio Tláloc 2019”, concurso
cuya sede es el Museo de la Acuarela del
Estado de México.
Por segunda ocasión, la International Watercolor
Society México se une a la organización de
este certamen y junto con la Secretaría de Cultura
del Estado de México, el propio Museo y la
Asociación de Amigos del Museo del Estado de
México se dan a la tarea de presentar la propuesta
de diferentes países e identidades culturales
y por supuesto la de cada artista en particular.
Semejante labor no sería posible sin el trabajo
comprometido y solidario de todas las partes,
cuya voluntad permite hoy, que el mundo sea
testigo de esta fiesta de agua y color realizada
en la ciudad de Toluca.

Watercolor…that pictorial medium that is claiming
a place in the world of art and that step by
step Is making its way with great decision. The
magic of this technique astonishes those who
observe its new trends, its new ways of expression
and above all its spontaneity and freshness.
Nowadays great works of exceptional quality can
be seen all around the world. Mexico is definitely
part of this movement and this year is dressed
in watercolor with the International Exhibit and
Contest “Premio Tlaloc 2019”, whose venue is
the Estado de Mexico Watercolor Museum.
For the second time, the International Watercolor
Society Mexico comes to the organization of
this competition and along with the Estado de
Mexico Culture Ministry, the museum itself and
the Estado de Mexico Friends of the Museum
Association work in this jointed project to present
this worldwide proposal, which reunites the
identity of all the countries and indeed the identity
of each artist. Such effort could not be possible
without the commitment and the solidarity
work of everyone involved. All these wills made
possible this watercolor party in the beautiful
city of Toluca.
