OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS<br />
FUNCTION: HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW PRESSURE COOKING<br />
1. Place food to be cooked into the removable cooking pot.<br />
IMPORTANT: Do not fill the removable cooking pot higher than<br />
Max line inside the cooking pot.<br />
IMPORTANT: Do not exceed 8 cup line when pressure cooking<br />
foods that expand such as rice, dried beans, grains and<br />
legumes.<br />
IMPORTANT: Add at least 1 cup (8 ounces) of liquid to the<br />
removable cooking pot when cooking under pressure. You may<br />
use water, broth, or juice, etc.<br />
CAUTION: Never operate the appliance when it is empty.<br />
Do not cook with food content below 1 cup line.<br />
2. Make sure the cord is unplugged.<br />
3. Check to see that the silicone gasket is attached properly to the<br />
gasket holder and the gasket holder is contained within the grips<br />
along inside of the lid. (See Care & Cleaning Instructions for<br />
assembly details).<br />
4. Place the lid on top of the base. Turn so that the pressure release<br />
valve is at the “pressure” up position or “release” down position.<br />
5. Holding the base handle firmly in one hand, firmly grasp the lid handle with the other hand<br />
and rotate clockwise until the lid locks into place; the handle and the base handles will<br />
be in perfect alignment. Follow the “close” arrow on the lid handle. (See Fig.6 & 7)<br />
NOTE: Be sure the lid is assembled well. Incorrect lid assembly onto the unit will cause<br />
the error “E3” to appear on the display.<br />
