Resumen
El término síndrome antifosfolípido (APS) describe un
trastorno sistémico inducido por autoanticuerpos antifosfolípidos
(aPL) caracterizado por trombosis recurrente
y/o morbilidad obstétrica. La enfermedad, al igual
que otros padecimientos crónicos, puede causar complicaciones
en la vida de quien las padece, entre ellos el
deterioro cognitivo; las alteraciones psicológicas se han
descrito de forma frecuente en trastornos autoinmunes,
desde el inicio de la enfermedad hasta la remisión del

The term antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) describes a
systemic disorder induced by antiphospholipid autoantibodies
(aPL) characterized by recurrent thrombosis and/
or obstetric morbidity. The disease as well as other chronic
conditions can cause complications in the life of the
sufferer, among them the cognitive deterioration and the
psychological alterations has been described frequently in
autoimmune disorders, from the beginning of the disease
to the remission of the diagnosis. The causes are unknown.
