GLOBALIZATION is a modern, advanced and wide-ranging form of the world
market. The system has liberalized to the maximum the circulation of financial and
monetary flows; with certain limitations and controls on the movement of goods
and people.
[...] This global world has consequences for the organization of the ECONOMY,
SOCIETY, ENVIRONMENT AND URBAN PLANNING.
[...] The greenhouse effect, the dependence on fossil fuels and the late conversion
of the energy model have considerably damaged the global climate. Atmospheric
phenomena are more radical: colder winters and torrential rains that destroy crops
and hotter summers with extreme temperatures that aggravate the desertification
of the land.
[...] From an economic point of view, the municipality needs to diversify its
production system.
Due to its privileged location, the wealth of natural landscapes surrounding the
municipality and the coast, it offers many alternatives to boost tourism and other
sectors such as accommodation, catering and leisure.
[...] due to the remoteness of the main urban centres, the young population is
not attracted to take up residence in this municipality. If the connections between
Agaete - La Aldea - Mogán are strengthened in the future, this tendency could
change.
[...] Growing cities are a challenge to transport and mobility. The development of
industry, residential areas, facilities and green spaces have to be in harmony with
mobility and transport planning.
Proposed structures based on zoning criteria:
A. Centralisation of the agriculture zone.
With the aim of maintaining the agricultural activity of the area and seeking to
strengthen the La Aldea brand, we defined two strategic lines of action;
