Hello!<br />
My name is Anna-Lena Schäffner and I‘m from Germany.<br />
I'm working in the public library in Erlangen. I chose this profession,<br />
because it is so varied. I do work with different items, plan events or<br />
advise customers.<br />
During my studies I had the opportunity to do an internship abroad<br />
in Vantaa. My teacher had contact to Ritva Nyberg and so it was<br />
settled.<br />
When I first arrived in Finland I was a little bit overwhelmed because<br />
of the darkness and the short days, but I got used to it.<br />
I worked in three different libraries, first in Tikkurila in the Swedish<br />
department, in Koivukylä and also in Martinlaakso. I met so many<br />
nice and kind people and they showed me the beautiful side of<br />
Finland. I was surprised positively about the different looks of the<br />
libarians. I saw tattoos, piercings, blue hair and almost everybody<br />
wore slippers. And they all were very friendly and made me feel<br />
welcome and also tried to answer all my questions.
