About ADICO 

ADICO (Asia Polydiamond Company), located in the Republic of Korea, is a super hard 

materials manufacturing specialty company that was incorporated in January 1999. 

ADICO‘s technical and engineering staff consisting of engineers, many of whom have 

over twenty to thirty years of extensive HPHT synthetic diamond manufacturing experience. 

Since early 2000, ADICO has focused primarily on the manufacture of polycrystalline dia- 

mond (PCD) and polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) compact products. Since January 

2004, ADICO has successfully introduced into the worldwide market larger diameter (50.8 

- 52.0 mm) PCD and PCBN products followed by two other PCD grade products („tougher“ 

and „ultrahard“) and „standard“ grade products. Adico has also introduced several newly 

developed (US and Europe Patented) products such as laser-weldable PCD, double-side PcBN, 

and veined PCD products. 

In 2007, ADICO became a foreign joint venture partner with a German company. ADICO conti- 

nues to make every effort to become one of the world‘s leading PCD and PcBN manufacturers 

and will continue to develop the most reliable products in order to achieve the highest level of

Über ADICO 

ADICO (Asia Polydiamond Company), mit Sitz in Südkorea, ist auf die Herstellung ultraharter 

Schneidstoffe spezialisiert. 1999 gegründet, hat ADICO heute viele Mitarbeiter in Technik sowie 

in Forschung und Entwicklung mit 20-30 Jahren Erfahrung in der Herstellung von synthetischem 

Diamant. 

Seit Beginn des Jahres 2000 lag der Fokus von ADICO primär auf der Herstellung von Polykristallinem 

Diamant (PKD) und Polykristallinem kubischem Bornitrid (PcBN). Im Jahr 2004 hat ADICO 

erfolgreich Ronden aus beiden Materialien in Durchmessern von ca. 51 mm eingeführt und die 

PKD-Linie um härtere und bruchfestere Sorten erweitert. ADICO hält mehrere europäische und 

amerikanische Patente wie Laser-schweißbares PKD, doppelseitiges PcBN und „gemasertes“ 

PKD. 

Im Jahr 2007 wurde aus ADICO eine Joint-Venture-Firma mit einem deutschen Unternehmen. 

ADICOs Anstrengungen, ein weltweit führender Hersteller von PKD- und PcBN-Produkten auf 

höchster Qualitätsstufe und mit bestem Kundenservice zu werden, wurden 2009 durch die 

Kooperation mit TIGRA als Vertriebs- und Entwicklungspartner weiter fortgesetzt. 

A propos d‘ADICO 

ADICO (Asia Polydiamond Company) ayant son siège en Corée du Sud est spécialisée 

dans la fabrication de matériaux de coupe ultradurs. ADICO, créée en 1999 occupe 

aujourd‘hui de nombreux employés forts d‘une expérience de 20 à 30 ans dans les 

domaines techniques ainsi que dans le domaine de la recherche et du développement 

et de production de diamants de synthèse. 

Depuis le début de l‘année 2000, ADICO a mis l‘accent sur la fabrication du diamant 

polycristallin (PCD) et du nitrure de bore cubique polycristallin (PcBN). En 

2004, ADICO a lancé avec succès des rondes d‘un diamètre d‘environ 51 mm fabriquées 

à partir des deux matériaux et a étendu la gamme PCD en proposant 

des variétés plus dures et plus résistantes. ADICO détient plusieurs brevets 

européens et américains comme celui du PCD soudable au laser, du PcBN 

double-face et de la technologie PCD « veine ».

En 2007, ADICO a signé un accord de joint-venture avec une 

entreprise allemande. Les efforts d‘ADICO pour devenir un leader 

mondial en matière de production de produits PCD et PcBN 

de haute qualité proposant un excellent service au client ont été 

poursuivis en 2009, grâce à la coopération avec TIGRA comme 

partenaire de distribution et de développement.

specializzata nella produzione dei materiali più duri da taglio. Fondata 

nel 1999, conta tra i suoi impiegati, nell‘ambito tecnico e nello 

sviluppo e ricerca, collaboratori con 20-30 anni di esperienza nella 

produzione dei diamanti sintetici. 

Già all‘inizio del 2000, l‘obbiettivo principale della ADICO era quello di 

produrre PCD (diamante policristallino) e PcBN (nitrato di boro policristallino). 

Nel 2004 la ADICO è riuscita a produrre dischi in entrambe 

le qualità (diametro 51 mm) e ha aggiunto alla sua gamma, diverse 

qualità più dure e più resistenti alla rottura. La ADICO ha diversi brevetti 

europei e americani, così come PCD saldabile, PcBN fronte-retro e PCD 

venato. 

Nel 2007 la ADICO è divenuta una joint-venture tedesca. L‘obiettivo 

della ADICO, di diventare uno dei maggiori produttori mondiali di PCD e 

PcBN di alta qualitá con il miglior servizio clienti, ha fatto un passo in 

avanti grazie alla collaborazione con la TIGRA iniziata nel 2009. 

Sobre ADICO 

ADICO (Asia Polydiamond Company), cuya sede social esta ubicada 

en Corea del Sur, se ha especializado en la fabricación de materiales 

de corte ultraduros. Fundada en 1999, la plantilla de ADICO recoge 

en la actualidad a expertos en tecnología, investigación y desarrollo, 

muchos de los cuales disponen de mas de 20 años de experiencia 

en la fabricación de diamante sintético. Desde principios de 

2000 ADICO viene centrando sus esfuerzos principalmente en la 

fabricación de diamante policristalino (DPC) y de nitruro de boro 

cúbico policristalino (PcBN). En 2004 ADICO producía con éxito 

rodajas de ambos materiales de aprox. 51 mm de diámetro y 

ampliaba su gama de DPC con versiones todavía más duras 

y más resistentes a la rotura. La propiedad intelectual de 

ADICO incluye diversas patentes europeas y americanas 

como el diamante policristalino soldable con láser, nitruro 

de boro cúbico policristalino (PcBN) doble, y diamante 

policristalino „venado“. En 2007 ADICO se establece 

junto a una sociedad alemana formando una jointventure. 

Los esfuerzos de ADICO por ocupar un 

puesto de liderazgo mundial en la fabricación de 

productos de DPC y PcBN de la más alta calidad 

con un óptimo servicio al cliente culminaron 

en 2009 con la cooperación con TIGRA como 

socio y referente de ventas y desarrollo.

For TIGRA, it´s an important goal to achieve long tool life in standard and special applications and reducing your tool 

cost at the same time. Therefore 9 standard PCD grades and other special grades are provided to offer the appropriate 

cutting material for each requirement. Cutting aluminum, composite materials, wood or more less common materials, 

TIGRA has got the suitable grade available. 

Standard and special cut-to-size tips are quickly laser-cut according to the customer´s drawing, and delivered within 

3-5 working days. 

Ein wichtiges Ziel für TIGRA ist, lange Standzeiten in Standard- und Spezialanwendungen und gleichzeitige Reduzierung 

Ihrer Werkzeug-Herstellungskosten zu erreichen. Deshalb stehen 9 Standard PKD-Sorten und weitere spezielle Sorten 

im Programm, um das für jede Anforderung passende Schneidmaterial bieten zu können. Egal ob Aluminium, Verbundwerkstoffe, 

Holz oder mehr weniger gängige Materialien zu berbeiten sind, hat TIGRA die passende Sorte verfügbar. 

Standard- und Spezialsegmente können schnell per Laser nach Kundenzeichnung geschnitten und innerhalb von 3-5 

Werktagen geliefert werden. 

Un objectif important pour TIGRA est de parvenir à des durées de vies élevées dans les utilisations standard et spécialisées et 

de réduire par la même occasion vos coûts de production en matière d‘outillages. Notre gamme comporte 9 nuances standard 

de PCD et d‘autres nuances spéciales offrant ainsi le matériel de coupe adaptée à chaque besoin. Quelque soit le matériau à 

usiner, aluminium, composites, bois ou autres matériaux moins courants, TIGRA dispose du matériel de coupe adapté. 

Nous proposons une découpe au laser rapide selon le dessin fourni par le client et garantissons une livraison entre 3 et 

5 jours ouvrés. 

Un obiettivo importante per TIGRA è quello di ottenere una lunga durata nelle applicazioni standard e speciali e ridurre 

contemporaneamente i costi degli utensili. Pertanto abbiamo in programma 9 gradi di PCD standard e altre varietà 

speciali per essere in grado di offrire il materiale da taglio adatto per ogni esigenza. Non importa se si lavora alluminio, 

materiali compositi, legno o altri materiali meno comuni, TIGRA ha sempre il grado giusto disponibile. 

Segmenti standard e speciali possono essere tagliati rapidamente dal laser su disegno del cliente e consegnati entro 

3-5 giorni lavorativi. 

TIGRA tiene por objeto lograr una larga vida útil en aplicaciones estándar y especiales y al mismo tiempo reducir el 

coste de las herramientas. Por lo tanto, disponemos de 9 grados estándar PCD y otras variedades especiales en el programa 

para poder ofrecer el material de corte adecuado para cada necesidad. Para materiales de aluminio, materiales 

compuestos, madera y más son menos comunes que berbeiten, TIGRA tiene el grado de disposición adecuada. 

Tanto los segmentos estándar como especiales puede ser rápidamente cortadas con un láser de acuerdo con los dibujos 

del cliente y se entregan en 3-5 días hábiles.

The steel layer (t2) on the bottom side of the disc is perfectly developed and adapted to laser welding. This means easier handling, 

extremely strong hold and reduced heat development in the body.

With special production methods, we managed to reduce the cost of making negative PcBN inserts and PcBN milling 

tools drastically. These products are offered in several different versions: tipped with normal or solid PcBN, flat 

ground only or flat and peripheral ground, you only require minimum work to create a less expensive, high-quality 

finished tool. 

Durch spezielle Herstellungsverfahren ist es uns gelungen, die Kosten für die Herstellung negativer PcBN-Wendeschneidplatten 

und PcBN- Fräshalbzeuge drastisch zu reduzieren. Diese Produkte werden in mehreren verschiedenen 

Versionen angeboten: bestückt mit Normal- oder Solid-PcBN, nur flachgeschliffen oder flach- und Umfang 

geschliffen. Um ein günstigeres, hochwertiges fertiges Werkzeug zu erstellen, benötigen Sie nur noch minimalen 

Arbeitsaufwand. 

Avec des procédés de fabrication spéciaux, nous avons réussi à réduire considérablement les coûts de fabrication 

des plaquettes réversibles négatives au PcBN et des outils de fraisage au PcBN semi-finis. Ces produits sont proposés 

dans plusieurs versions différentes: renforcées au PcBN normal ou solid, meulage à plat ou meulage à plat et 

meulage cylindrique. Réduisez au maximum votre charge de travail tout en fabriquant des outils de haute qualité à 

des prix avantageux. 

Con metodi di produzione speciale, siamo riusciti a ridurre il costo di produzione di inserti PcBN negativi e frese 

PcBN drasticamente. Questi prodotti sono disponibili in diverse versioni: con punta PcBN normale o solida,affilato

TIGRA provides thick film CVD diamond featuring an extremely low residual stress due to the special arrangement in 

the synthesis. 

The production of the blanks and segments is done in tightest tolerances. 

The cutting surface is generally cleaned from the soft CVD crystals generated in the production.

TIGRA provides a wide range of carbide inserts for tipping, which are usually available from stock. 

The inserts are offered as tips for negative inserts unground and pre-ground as well as tips for positive inserts in 

several versions. You can decide if you want the less expensive tips without side angles which are also more universal 

in use and reduce your stock level or with pressed-on clearance angles for reduced grinding time. 

TIGRA uses only pure carbide powders which don´t contain remainders of TiC and TaC from recycling processes 

which can cause brazing failures.

and high speed cutting are available in long rods as well as cut-to-size. TIGRA offers ground and unground rods with

This catalogue describes cemented carbide products. Grinding of these products will produce dust of potentially 

hazardous ingredients. Dust from grinding the products described in this catalogue can cause nose, throat, skin and 

eye irritation and temporary or permanent respiratory disease in a small percentage of exposed individuals. 

Permanent respiratory disease can lead to disability or death. Coolant mist from wet grinding may contain dust. 

Avoid prolonged skin contact with dust or mist. Use adequate ventilation when grinding. Maintain dust levels below 

OSHA and ACGIH levels. Use protective devices. Wash hand thoroughly after handling, before eating or smoking. 

Dispose of materials according to local, state and/or federal regulations. 

Der Schleifstaub der in diesem Katalog beschriebenen Hartmetallprodukte enthält möglicherweise gesundheitsschädliche 

Bestandteile. Er kann Nasen-, Atmungs-, Haut- und Augenreizungen auslösen. Dauerhaftes Einatmen kann zu 

ernsthaften gesundheitlichen Schäden führen. Beim Schleifen mit Kühlung entsteht ein Schlamm, der diesen Staub 

ebenfalls enthält. Vermeiden Sie das Einatmen von Schleifstaub und Schleifschlamm sowie längeren Hautkontakt. 

Sorgen Sie für ausreichende Absaugung. Benutzen Sie Schutzvorrichtungen. Waschen Sie sich nach der Berührung 

sorgfältig die Hände, insbesondere vor dem Essen. Die Entsorgung von Rückständen muss nach den entsprechenden 

gesetzlichen Vorschriften erfolgen.

accuratamente le mani dopo ogni contatto, soprattutto prima dei pasti. Smaltire i residui in conformità alle normative 

vigenti in materia.
