einleitung Introduction Introduction
Die TransportTechnologie-Consult Karlsruhe
GmbH (TTK) ist ein Tochterunternehmen
der Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft mbH (AVG)
und der Planung Transport Verkehr AG (PTV).
Die AVG ist international bekannt für die
Zweisystem-Stadtbahn (Tramtrain): 500 km
Linien und 340 km Strecken werden von der
AVG betrieben bzw. unterhalten. Die PTV AG
ist als größte deutsche Verkehrsberatungsund
-softwaregesellschaft weltweit tätig und
als Entwickler der Softwareprodukte VISUM,
VISEM, VISSIM, VISWALK etc. bekannt.
Der Erfolg des Tramtrain-Systems war der Ausgangspunkt
für die Gründung der TTK als
Stadtbahn-Kompetenzzentrum.
internationalen Mitarbeitern zusammen.
Durch die Zusammenarbeit von französischen
und deutschen Kollegen in den Projektteams
können unsere Kunden von den Erfahrungen
im Nachbarland profitieren. Der internationale
Knowhow-Transfer ist damit ein besonderes
Markenzeichen der TTK.
TransportTechnologie-Consult Karlsruhe GmbH
(TTK) is a subsidiary of Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft
mbH (AVG) and Planung Transport
Verkehr AG (PTV). AVG is known as the pioneer
operator of the TramTrain (operation on
500 km of routes, maintenance of 340 km of
infrastructure); PTV AG is the biggest German
transport and traffic consulting and software
company operating world-wide (their products
include VISUM, VISEM, VISSIM, VISWALK,
navigation systems etc.).
The success of the TramTrain concept was the
starting point of TTK which was established as
a tramtrain and light rail competence centre.
As the company grew our activity spectrum
and expertise developed and today, 15 years
later, TTK is also known for general transport
studies and public transport planning. Our
focus though remains on the rail mode.
TTK employs an international team of more
than 30. As a result of the collaboration between
French and German professionals within
project teams, clients benefit from the experience
acquired in the neighbouring countries.
The international know-how transfer is thus
TTK’s special trade mark.
TTK
infrastructure division
We offer a wide range of services for the design
and planning of railway, tramtrain and tram
projects, starting with initial assessments of
technical feasibility, followed by detailed design
and going all the way to tendering and construction
management.
Projects often go further than rail infrastructure
alone and include the design of station perimeters,
street and highway design (e.g. the
removal of level crossings) as well as structural
design for bridges, retaining walls and noise
barriers. Our experience from design and the
knowledge of time requirements in numerous
projects provides the background for our
services in the project management area.
Both experience from previous projects and
close co-operation with AVG allow us to provide
expert advice to authorities and operators. The
assessment of existing infrastructure informs
Feasibility studies include mainly railway, light
rail and tramtrain, and tram projects as well
as bus solutions. These generally also include
cost-benefit analyses (benefit cost ratios and
internal rate of return)
Transport planning covers urban public transport
network optimisations, the development
of long term transport plans as well as the
development of strategic PT visions.
Technical assistance means technical support
to the customer during the realisation of a
project (usually) over a longer period of time.
the client about monetary and technical require -
ments for maintaining or re-opening rail infrastructure.
Both for new infrastructure as well as in the
discussion of maintenance philosophies the
client needs to have detailed knowledge about
life cycle cost. TTK can offer the determination
and optimisation of these costs and provide an
important building block in the decision process.
The question of management and maintenance
of existing tracks is becoming increasingly more
important. Technical and economic analyses
Operations provides help in drawing up
operational concepts making use of static and
dynamic simulation tools.
The emphasis in the vehicle sector lies on
trams and light rail, in particular track sharing,
dual-mode, hybrid technology and EMU/DMU
as well as on tendering procedures from a first
concept to start of operations on the track.
Fares and ticketing studies deal with the development
and analysis of improved integrated
fare and ticketing structures.
provide authorities or operators with the information
necessary to identify the best way forward
with their infrastructure (e.g. construction of
a new depot or modernisation of an existing
facility). Furthermore, authorities are advised
concerning railway specific processes, internal
structures and requirements (e.g. concerning
planning and railway crossing agreements).
Research projects allow us to contribute experience
from infrastructure projects to the
scientific area and lead to international knowhow
transfer which in turn is valuable for the
design projects.
transport planning and vehicle technology division
Management consultancy services include the
evaluation of organisational structures and
process optimisation (operational and duty
roster planning using the Diaphan analysis
tool; optimisation of vehicle and staff requirements).
National and international research projects
are the opportunity to apply our project experience
in a scientific environment, exchange
experience with other experts, improve contacts
through co-operation and last not least
increase our own know-how.
TTK
notre savoir-faire.
