Suction/Blowing function and warming-up of the ironing board
Suction Function
The suction absorbs the exceeding steam, no more necessary after ironing. The suction enables to hold
the garment firm on the ironing board and to eliminate the moisture. The garments are clean and dry,
ready to be put away.
The heating of the ironing surface prevent the board and consequently the garments from getting wet.
This functions prevent the formation of condensed water in the board.
Recommendation:
- With the suction function, light fabrics (silk, etc.) can be “fixed” on the ironing board, preventing them
from slipping away
- The suction function cool the fabric and “fix” the result of the ironing, allowing for perfect creases.
Blowing function
The blowing function enables to iron delicates or hard to iron items (trousers creases, pockets, seams, hard
to reach areas) on a cushion of air, avoiding the formation of false creases or the flattening of seams.
After steam-ironing
- Turn off the appliance (on/off switch)
- Pull the plug out of the mains socket
- Let the appliance completely cool down
- Remove the iron cord support
Important: Store the appliance only when it has completely cooled down
7. Dry ironing
It is recommended to start ironing the articles that require the lowest temperature.
Getting the appliance ready:
- Put the iron on the iron-rest mat (2)
- set the steam control to the required position, for instance:
I = synthetic fibres (minimum temperature)
II = silk/wool (medium temperature)
III = cotton/linen (maximum temperature)
- Insert the plug into the mains socket
- Turn the appliance on (on/off button) (the iron orange indicator light lights up and stays on).
Simultaneously, the orange warming-up indicator light on the iron lights up. The latter comes off as
soon as the soleplate reaches the required temperature. The iron reaches the required temperature
after 3-5 minutes.
- To dry iron DO NOT press the steam button.
