Increasingly widespread use of
the EIB in building installations
is being accompanied by a growing
demand for the ability to control
mobile devices with plug connectors
via the EIB or to receive
information about the status of
the device. This development will
be reinforced to an even greater
extent in the near future with the
introduction of the Home-
Assistant ® software and white
goods with bus capability. It is also
conceivable that television
sets with EIB capability will be
used as operator control and visualization
terminals for the domestic
sector. Apart from this, there
are many other items of equipment,
which could be expediently
connected to the EIB, e.g. heating
and air-conditioning units,
communication and multimedia
equipment, automatic drink and
cigarette dispensers and games
machines, medical equipment
and catering appliances.

der HomeAssistant ® -
Software und busfähiger weißer
Ware weiter verstärkt werden.
Auch die Nutzung von EIB-fähigen
Fernsehgeräten als Bedienund
Anzeigeterminal für den
Heimbereich ist denkbar. Daneben
gibt es eine Vielzahl von
Geräten, deren Anschluß an den
EIB sinnvoll ist, z. B. Heiz- und
Klimageräte, Geräte der Kommunikationstechnik,
und Medientechnik,
Getränke-, Zigarettenund
Spielautomaten, medizinische
Geräte, Geräte der Gastronomie.

à travers le bus EIB. Cette
évolution sera renforcée très prochainement
par l’introduction du
logiciel HomeAssistant ® et de
produits blancs compatibles bus.
De même, on envisage d’utiliser
les téléviseurs compatibles EIB
comme terminaux de commande
et comme moniteurs pour les applications
domotiques. En outre,
la connexion à EIB peut présenter
un intérêt pour de nombreux appareils,
tels qu’appareils de
chauffage et de climatisation, appareils
de communication, appareils
audiovisuels, distributeurs
de boissons, distributeurs de cigarettes,
jeux électroniques, appareils
médicaux, appareils de
cuisine.
Transmission des signaux par
fibres optiques
Pour permettre la connexion des
appareils mobiles conformément
aux attentes des consommateurs,
les sociétés Berker, Gira,
Jung et Merten ont mis au point
une prise communicante avec
transmission par fibres optiques,
qui sera lancée sur le marché
comme nouveau standard. La
ligne de transmission par fibres
optiques se compose des éléments
suivants : une prise 2P+T
modifiée (prise communicante),
une fiche 2P+T modifiée avec
cordon mixte (ligne 230 V et
fibres optiques), un dispositif
électronique de couplage dans
l’appareil.
