Amberg
Périgueux has been twinned with the
town of Amberg in Germany since 45
years.
This picturesque city of 43000 inhabitants
situated in Bavaria is well-known
for its architecture. The historic center
is still surrounded by a rampart at the
foot of which is a beautiful place to walk.
It is the German “Carcassonne” town.
The symbol of the town are the famous
glasses “stadtbrille” : it is a bridge with a
double arch above the river “Vils” which
links the arsenal to the castle.

8 am to 1 pm Place du Coderc, Place
de la Clautre and the Town Hall Square
(Place de l’Hôtel de Ville).
- Duck and goose markets from mid-November
to the end of March, Wednesdays
and Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm Place
St. Louis. Information regarding the
dates of the award-winning markets can
be obtained from the Tourist Office.

Keeping active in Périgueux
Around Périgueux there are more than
200 kilometres of way-marked, easily
accessible rambling and walking tracks,
allowing you to stroll at will through the
woods, by the river or relax in a picnic
area.

downstream and get away from it all to
appreciate the heritage and culture offered
by the town of Perigueux.
Fancy a few rounds of golf The Saltgourde
Municipal Golf Course, just five
minutes from the centre of town, will
welcome you to its calm atmosphere.
Well-equipped with its ample driving
range, its putting greens, there is also
a bar and restaurant, all of which guarantee
many enjoyable moments and a
breath of fresh air..!

Esta ciudad pintoresca de Baviera, de 43
000 habitantes, es famosa por su riqueza
arquitectural. El casco histórico está aún
protegido por su muralla con sus torres
y sus puertas. Sin embarge, el símbolo
de la ciudad son los famosos «ojos» de
la ciudad «stadtbrille» : se trata de un
puente con aracada doble atravesando la

Mueva a Périgueux
Alrededor de Périgueux, puedes hacer
màs o menos 200 km senderismo muy
facil entre bosques o a orillas del río y
hace picnic en aire libre. (se venden los
mapas en la oficina de turismo).
Despues tu paseo, sigue el rio en canoe
y aprovecha de una escapada y admira el
patrimonio de la zona.
Tiene muchas ganas de algunos « green »,
el campo de golf de la ciudad de 18 hoyos
se situa a 5 minutos del centro. Te acoge
en un lugar agradable y tranquilo con
varias instalaciones de golf, un bar, un
restaurante...

Sportliche Aktivitäten
Rund um Périgueux erstrecken sich über
200 kilometer, markierte Wanderwege für
Alle gangbar, sie führen durch Wälder,
entlang Bächen und Flüssen und laden
zu einem Picknic auf einer der vielen
Rasplätze, Wanderkarte erhältlich im
Fremdenverkehrsamt.
Vielleicht ziehen Sie es vor mit einem
Kanu den Fluss runter zu paddeln und die
Landschaft mit der Geschwindigkeit des
Gewässers vorbeiziehen zu lassen.
Die Gemeinde unterhält einen Golfplatz
(Saltgourde) nur fünf Minuten vom Zentrum
entfernt.
