sens.

November 3rd and4th theCIME Board met in
Montreal on invitationby the CEe.The meetings were
productive and intetestiI\g. Countries represented:
. Germany, Canada, France, Switzerland, Venezuela,
Cuba, Netherlands, Uriited Kingdom.
. ,5. Adoption of changes to the CEC Regulations
. A first presentation was made since according to the
CEC Regulations such changes must be presented first
and adopted at a subsequent meeting. .
Proposals to modify CEC Regulations:
a) #8.4 BOard members are elected for a period of two'
years and BQatd positions are determined by the Board;
b) #2.2 Cat~gories and sub-categories of members.are:
1) Permanent Member; 2) Associate Member:
individual; student, (educational) institution, non-profit
organizeltion; commercial; .
c) Modify other Regulations in accordance with these
modifications. .

JonSiddall and Joanne Morrow of the Canada Council
were met and the Cou'ndl's support'seems assured
including Trcmsportation costs. University Budgets are
subject to reductions at the moment and thiswill affect
the level of support from Concordia University.
