EnglishThis model meets internationalguidelines for exposure to radio wavesYour mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It isdesigned not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio wavesrecommended by international guidelines. These guidelineswere developed by the independent scientific organizationICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure theprotection of all persons, regardless of age and health. For body worn operation, this phone has been tested andmeets RF exposure guidelines when used with an accessorythat contains no metal and that positions the handset aminimum of 15 mm from the body. Use of other accessoriesmay not ensure compliance with RF exposure guidelines. The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as theSpecific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobiledevices is 2 W/kg and the highest SAR value for this devicewhen tested at the ear was 0.85 W/kg (10g)*. As mobiledevices offer a range of functions, they can be used in otherpositions, such as on the body. In the case where the phone isworn directly on the body, the highest tested SAR value is0.65 W/kg (10g)*.As SAR is measured utilizing the devices highesttransmitting power the actual SAR of this device whileoperating is typically below that indicated above. This is dueto automatic changes to the power level of the device toensure it only uses the minimum level required to reach thenetwork. The WHO (World Health Organization) has stated thatcurrent scientific information does not indicate the need forspecial precautions for the use of mobile phones. However, ifindividual users are concerned, they may choose to limitexposure to themselves and to their children, by either limitingthe length of calls, or by using headsets or "hands-free"devices to keep the phone away from their body and head.2This is an Internet version of this publication. © Print only for private use.
