ESPRITProposition d’un cadre de validation des performances et de certification des onduleurs PVSummaryThe present document is the result of a collaborative work carried out in the framework ofthe ESPRIT research project, which deals with the connection of photovoltaic (PV) systemsto the low voltage public distribution grid in metropolitan France. In France there is no standard dedicated to the inverters to be used in photovoltaicinstallations. This lack of standard and clear specifications about the functionalities ofinverters affects the various actors involved in the operation of such installations (nonexhaustive knowledge of inverter makers about the parameter setting of their own products, approximate knowledge about the inverter performance and their compliance to the Frenchregulation, no guarantee to scrupulously respect the Utility Technical Repository). The objective of this document is therefore to sketch out a synthesis of the specificationsinverters have to comply with in order to be used in France and propose a frame, for thevalidation of their performances and certification, which defines the testing procedures to befollowed by an independent testing laboratory.Clear inverter performance criteria have been defined regarding the own performances ofinverters (energy conversion, efficiency …) as well as their connection to the grid. Thenecessary tests to validate characteristics and performances will play a great part inensuring an optimised operation in the field.PHOTOVOLTAIC, GRID, INVERTER, TESTINGKey wordsRapport technique projet ESPRIT Page 4/58
