SummarySUMMARYThe introduction of the central venous catheter and thearterial catheter, the stracheal approach and the thoracidrainage are invasive procedures, currently used in the resuscitationunits. However, their extensive use leads to the supervene of severecomplications that sometimes represent or danger for the vitalprognosis. Our prospective study is about 453 invasive proceduresrealized at the various departments of resuscitation in the UHC orCasablanca during 18 months with help of 4 cords of exploitation.In our series, the central veinous catheter represents 66% ofthe invasive procedures. The mean age of our patients is 40 yearsold, 67% are male.The hematoma (16%), the pneumothorax (3%), the aberranttrack (4%), and the thrombosis (3%) were the main complications inrelationship with the introduction of the central veinous catheter.The incidence of the hematoma is about 20% when theprocedure is realized during the guard and 38,3% when theoperation has an experience of more than 2 years.The risk of supervene of the pneumothorax was quite highwhen the number of attempts was moe than twice (10%).The incidence of the aberrant track was about 12% at the levelof the subclavical site and 2% at the jugular level.96
