7 Disposal<br />
7.2 Removing the batteries<br />
WARNING:<br />
Improper charging of the batteries can<br />
cause injury!<br />
If it becomes necessary to replace the<br />
batteries, contact a specialist dealer or Royal<br />
Appliance Customer Services.<br />
Never replace the batteries yourself.<br />
By no means replace the original batteries<br />
by batteries of a different type.<br />
WARNING:<br />
Danger of injury by improper handling of<br />
batteries!<br />
Never short-circuit the batteries, i.e. never<br />
touch both poles simultaneously, especially<br />
with conductive objects.<br />
Never dismantle the batteries.<br />
Never expose the batteries to high temperatures.<br />
Improper handling can lead to liquid<br />
leaking from the batteries. Avoid any contact<br />
with the fluid.<br />

1. Run the appliance until the batteries are<br />
completely empty and the motor stops.<br />
2. Loosen the 5 screws on the side of the<br />
motor unit with a Philips screwdriver<br />
(Fig. 18).<br />
3. Remove the cover.<br />
4. Take out the built-in batteries.<br />
5. Refit the cover and fasten it with the<br />
5screws.<br />
6. Give the appliance and the removed batteries<br />
to the respective separate disposal<br />
points, to your dealer or to Royal appliance.<br />
