A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
Et de 13 !
Cela fait maintenant 13 ans que la TPR rassemble
chaque année des acteurs du monde de la voile,
locaux et internationaux, ici aux îles Sous-le-Vent,
autour de nos belles îles que sont Huahine, Bora
Bora et bien entendu Raiatea et Tahaa. 13 ans que
la chance nous porte et nous permet d'aller toujours plus loin dans l'organisation d'un tel
événement. La chance est donnée à chacun, grâce à ce rendez-vous, de venir vous défier
et régater bord à bord, avec une flotte variée, bariolée, et sportive. Cette année aussi,
nous passons un cap, avec la participation d’une équipe de production internationale qui
va permettre de faire rayonner la voile polynésienne sur des chaînes du monde entier.
La Parade Nautique du mercredi soir, avec un défilé sur l’eau et l'ambiance musicale
d'un DJ spécialement venu de Tahiti est ouverte à tous, équipage et population. La
TPR, c’est aussi cela, la rencontre, les échanges, le partage.
Un petit mot aussi pour saluer nos équipes, toutes celles et ceux qui portent cette
organisation. Une pensée pour Laurent Bourgnon, notre parrain, à jamais parmi nous.
Et la bienvenue à notre champion du monde, Billy Besson, qui a accepté de reprendre
le flambeau malgré sa préparation intensive aux prochains Jeux Olympiques de Rio.
Vous l'aurez compris, cette « Lucky13 Edition », vous invite à tenter votre chance,
sans sombrer dans la superstition... alors amis marins, êtes-vous plutôt fer à cheval
ou patte de lapin ?

13 and counting!
It's been 13 years since the TPR each year brings together local and international
doers from the world of sailing, here in the Leeward islands, around the beautiful
islands that are Huahine, Bora Bora and of course Raiatea and Tahaa. 13 years that
luck has been with us and allowing us to still go further in organizing such an event.
The chance is given to everyone, thanks to this rendezvous, to come and challenge
you to race alongside, with a varied colorful and sporty fleet. This year, we also reach
a milestone with the participation of an international production team that will help
to showcase Polynesian sailing on worldwide channels.
The Wednesday night Nautical Parade with a parade on the water and the musical
ambiance of a DJ specially coming from Tahiti is open to everyone, crew and
population. The TPR also represents: encountering, exchanging and sharing.
A word also about our teams, all those who carry this organization. A thought for
Laurent Bourgnon, our Ambassador forever with us. And a welcome to our world
champion, Billy Besson, who agreed to pick up the torch despite his intensive
preparation for upcoming Rio Olympics.
So, as you can see, this « Lucky13 Edition » invites you to take your chances, without
getting into superstition... So fellow sailors, are you more horse shoe or lucky rabbit’s
foot?
