Operating Instructions<br />

Radio Image<br />

A sketch of the radio design with reference<br />

to the button functions can be found in the<br />

vehicle owner’s manual in the section related to<br />

audio operation.<br />

Connecting iPod<br />

Plug the dock connector coming from the<br />

adapter unit in your iPod player.<br />

m Connect only the dock connector to the<br />

iPod so that this unit works properly.<br />

When the ignition is set to ACC or ON, the iPod<br />

will be activated automatically. A check mark<br />

will appear on the iPod’s screen and after a few<br />

seconds it will be replaced by the brand vehicle<br />

logo. iPod is ready to be used.<br />

While the iPod is connected to this unit, the iPod<br />

itself cannot be turned on or off; the battery of<br />

the iPod will be charged automatically.<br />

When the iPod is connected while playing, the<br />

song will be paused.<br />

When the ignition is switched to OFF the iPod<br />

will be put into sleep <strong>mode</strong>. With the ignition<br />

set to off, the iPod will not be charged.<br />

The iPod Adapter Unit supports the following<br />

iPod <strong>mode</strong>ls: iPod Generation 4, iPod Photo,<br />

iPod Nano, iPod Mini, iPod Generation 5.<br />

Disconnecting iPod<br />

iPod can be disconnected from his unit at<br />

any time. When removing the iPod from this<br />

unit when the ignition is ON, the vehicle logo<br />

disappears and the iPod is returning to its<br />

normal operation after a few seconds.<br />

Power On/Off<br />

Press [PWR-VOL] knob to switch the power on.<br />

Press [PWR-VOL] again to switch the power off.<br />

Volume Up/Down<br />

Turn [VOLU<strong>ME</strong>] clockwise to increase the volume.<br />

Turn [VOLU<strong>ME</strong>] counter clockwise to decrease<br />

the volume.<br />

Selecting iPod Mode<br />

Press [DISC] on the head unit to select iPod<br />

<strong>mode</strong>.<br />

Each time [DISC] is pressed, the <strong>mode</strong>s change<br />

as follows:<br />

Internal CD or CD CH ‡ external CDCH1 (=iPod)<br />

‡ (external CDCH2) ‡ internal CD or CD CH.<br />

Note:<br />

- As the iPod adapter is connected through<br />

the external CD changer interface, the radio<br />

will indicate the external CD Changer <strong>mode</strong>.<br />

Equalizing within iPod Mode<br />

Press [EQ] or [CONTROL] on the head unit to<br />

adjust the settings of Bass, Treble, Balance and<br />

Fader.<br />

Note:<br />

- Also the EQ settings on the iPod will effect<br />

the sound. To adjust the iPod EQ settings,<br />

please refer to iPod User manual.<br />

Playlist Concept<br />

The iPod adapter can play music titles of the<br />

iPod which are organized in Playlists.<br />

The iPod interface does not support the<br />

functions selected by artist, by album, by genre.<br />

We recommend to organise the iPod content in<br />

Playlists using iTunes.<br />

The Playlists will be equal to and listed in the<br />

same order as on the iPod and on the head<br />

unit, except for the first one.<br />
