Australian Ambassador to Egypt Meeting with the Imams

بعد االهتمام البالغ الذي قدمه سعادة السفير األسترالي في جمهورية مصر العربية نيل هوكنز للمشايخ المبعوثين من قبل دار الفتوى األسترالية ممثلين
كالً‏ من كلية األمانة وكلية السالمة أحبوا أن يعربوا عن شكرهم وامتنانهم لسعادة السفير وذلك بدعوة لطيفة وجهت له من قبلهم وما كان من سعادته
إال أن قبل الدعوة وتم اللقاء فيما بينهم في مدينة سيدني في السادس والعشرين من الشهر التاسع لهذا العام تخلل اللقاء غداء وتم تداول أمور عديدة
عن أهمية التعاون بين الشباب المسلم في أستراليا لنشر الفكر االسالمي المعتدل البعيد كل البعد عن التطرف والعنف الممقوت وأهمية التعايش الحسن
بين المسلمين وغيرهم من فئات الشعب األسترالي هذا وقد أعرب سعادة السفير عن جزيل شكره لهذه الدعوى على أمل اللقاء مرة أخرى وفي نهاية
اللقاء قدم المشايخ الكرام درعا تذكارياً‏ وبعض الكتب من إصدارات كلية االمانة ودار الفتوى تعبيرا عن شكرهم له.‏
On 26 September 2016, the Australian Ambassador Mr Neil Hawkins met with delegates from the Islamic High Council of Australia in
special lunch in Sydney. The Imams, representing Al Amanah College and Salamah College had invited Mr Hawkins as a gesture of
appreciation to the high level of support and acknowledgment received from the Ambassador during their stay in the Arab Republic of
Egypt. Many important issues were discussed during the meeting such as the vital work of the Australian Muslim youth in in spreading
the correct teachings of our religion which are very far from radicalism and abhorrent violence. Also the importance of a harmonious
coexistence between the Muslims and non- Muslims in Australia. The Imams presented Mr Hawkins with a plaque and books from
both Al Amanah College and the Islamic High Council as a token of their appreciation. Mr Hawkins expressed his gratitude for the
invitation and his eagerness to meet with the Imams in the near future.

As we are approaching the end of the year, please remind your children to return all their library books before the term ends. For High
School students, please ensure that all the textbooks hired during the year - including novels - are returned.
The NSW Premier‘s Reading Challenge 2016 certificates will be available in November 2016. Congratulations to all fifty-seven
students who have made the effort to complete this year’s challenge.
