JOBBER DRILLS
The standard treatments applied to the various drill types are indicated on the respective pages of the catalogue.
SILVER JET
• This finish is recommended for the general purpose drilling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials but is
particularly suitable for the drilling of aluminum, brass and non-abrasive diecast materials.
BLACK JET
• When tough or abrasive metals are being drilled, the use of a black jet drill is recommended. The P&N/Sutton
Black Jet treatment produces an extremely hard, wear resistant surface, thereby improving noticeably the life of
the drill. It is particularly suited for the drilling of cast iron high tensile steel, stainless steel and certain abrasive
plastics.
