PATAH TUMBUH - BERTUKAR GANTI

Patah tumbuh – bertukar ganti.
Hanya itu sahajalah yang dapat
diungkapkan dengan kata-kata.
Kamsis telah dikejutkan dengan
berita pertukaran Ketua Penyelia
Asrama, iaitu Pn. Rokiah bt. Md. Isa
yang diluluskan pertukaran beliau ke
Institut Perguruan Tuanku Bainun,
Bukit Mertajam. Beliau dikehendaki
melapor diri di tempat baru mulai 16
April 2009.
Warga kamsis menerima berita
pertukaran beliau dengan perasaan
bercampur-baur. Ini adalah
disebabkan sikap dan sifat beliau
yang begitu ‘mesra rakyat’ , mudah
diajak berbincang, ‘humourous’ dan
sebagainya tidak mungkin dapat
ditukar ganti. Walau bagaimana pun
kekosongan tempat sebagai Ketua
Penyelia Asrama - yang pergi pasti
berganti.
Tanggal 16 April 2009, Pn. Rita
Masmura bt. Ismail melapor diri
di PSP sebagai Ketua Penyelia
Asrama yang baru. Warga kamsis
mengucapkan selamat datang dan
mengalu-alukan beliau menjadi
sebahagian warga PSP. Kamsis
mengharapkan beliau dapat
memberikan suatu nilai tambah
yang positif – khasnya untuk PSP.
Sebagai menghargai sumbangan
Puan Rokiah sepanjang
perkhidmatan beliau di PSP, Unit
Asrama telah menganjurkan satu
jamuan perpisahan pada 14 Mei
2009 yang bertempat di Hotel
UITM, Pulau Pinang. Jamuan
perpisahan ini dihadiri bersama
oleh suami beliau, Pengetua
Asrama – Ustaz Habibollah
bin Padil dan semua Penyelia
Asrama.Unit Asrama mendoakan
kesejahteraan serta kejayaan beliau
ditempat bertugas yang baru.

English Elocution
Contest PSP Level 2009

Commerce department students
have done it again this year
by grabbing all prizes in the PSP
English Elocution contest. The
Commerce DPM 2C student,
Revathy a/p Marathamuttu has
emerged the winner for the PSP
Elocution Contest held in main
lecturer hall on 27 April 2008.
She received the “Silver-Tongue”
trophy along with RM 100 as the
main prize. En. Abdul KAmil bin
Adbul Aziz officiated the contest
that started at 2:30pm and ends
at 5:00 p.m. 12 students from the
main departments participated in
the contest. Nasirah bt Barook
from DAT 2C was the first-runner
up while Ainurhana bt Mohd Yusof
from DAT 2B was the secondrunner
up. The chief judge of the
elocution contest, Mr Koo Boo Eng
said that he was satisfied with the
overall performance, even though
the number of participants were
lesser than last year.
Miss Revathy will represent PSP
in the inter-polytechnic competition
that will be held this year. This
is the third time that commerce
student has managed to keep “The
Silver-tongue” trophy. This trophy
will be kept in the Commerce
department for a year. The last
year winner from commerce
department was Miss Ng Seok Pei.
The contest requires the
participants to prepare a prepared
speech for five minutes and an
impromptu speech for two minutes.
The topics for the prepared speech
were given to each participates
before the competition in order
for the participants to prepare the
notes and to practice before the
contest. The main objective of the
contest is to enable polytechnic
students to practice and enhance
their competency in using English
effectively in current and future
undertakings.
