STUDENT ASSESSMENT<br />
Preamble<br />
The specific requirements for each level are indicated below. However as a general guide, the<br />
following should be considered:<br />
i. at each level, depending on the requirement of individual courses/modules should incorporate<br />
both summative and formative assessments;<br />
ii. the need to meet the minimum credits for graduation would require the students to take and<br />
pass corresponding number of courses;<br />
iii. the types of assessments indicated below are examples and higher education providers (HEPs)<br />
are encouraged to use a variety of methods and tools appropriate for the assessment of the<br />
learning outcomes and competencies; and<br />
iv. Problem Based Learning should be reinforced with the rubric approach in assessment.<br />
