HADIAH ALUMNI UNIVERSITY OF MALAYA(SINGAPORE) SESI 2011/2012UNIVERSITY OF MALAYA (SINGAPORE) ALUMNI AWARD 2011/2012 SESSIONBakal graduan sesi 2011/2012 dipelawa untuk memohon <strong>hadiah</strong> kecemerlangan <strong>Universiti</strong> ini.Students graduating in the 2011/2012 academic session with a first degree are invited to apply for thisaward.LATARBELAKANG HADIAH Background <strong>of</strong> AwardPada tahun 1999, Jawatankuasa Pengelola Perayaan Penubuhan University <strong>of</strong> Malaya(Singapore) ke 50 telah menyumbang dana (seed money) sejumlah RM110,000.00 kepada<strong>Universiti</strong> Malaya bagi membolehkan <strong>Universiti</strong> memberi <strong>hadiah</strong> setiap tahun kepada seorangpelajar cemerlang. Hadiah yang berupa wang tunai berjumlah tidak kurang dari RM3000 dansijil penghargaan.In 1999, the Committee for the 50 th Anniversary Celebrations <strong>of</strong> the foundation <strong>of</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Malayacollected and donated a sum <strong>of</strong> RM110,000.00 to the University <strong>of</strong> Malaya for the establishment <strong>of</strong> theUniversity <strong>of</strong> Malaya (Singapore) Alumni Award. This award shall be bestowed annually to the mostoutstanding graduating student <strong>of</strong> the year.A. HADIAH PrizesPenerima akan menerima: (1) Wang Tunai RM3,000.00 dan (2) Sijil PenghargaanThe recipient will each receive : (1) Cash RM3,000 (2) A Certificate <strong>of</strong> Commendation.B. KRITERIA PEMOHON Candidate’s CriteriaPelajar yang dianugerahkan <strong>hadiah</strong> ini hendaklah:The candidate must fulfill the following criteria: Memperolehi Ijazah Sarjana Muda dengan sekurang-kurangnya gred B/PNGK 3.50;Has obtained a Bachelor Degree in any field with at least grade B/ Final CGPA <strong>of</strong> at least 3.5; Tidak pernah mendapat gred F dan mengulang mana-mana kursus sepanjang tempohpengajiannya;Has never obtained grade F for any course in his program <strong>of</strong> study and never repeat any course; Berjaya menamatkan pengajian dalam tempoh minimum yang ditetapkan bagi programpengajiannya, melainkan pelajar diluluskan penarikan diri dari mana-mana semesteroleh pihak <strong>Universiti</strong>; danHas successfully completed his program <strong>of</strong> study within the minimum period prescribed for hisprogram unless he has been approved withdrawal from any semester by the University; Mempunyai ciri-ciri kepimpinan, aktif dalam kegiatan sukan, persatuan danpenglibatan dalam aktiviti kemasyarakatan/kesenian juga diambilkira.Has leadership qualities , active in sports, societies/associations, cultural and communityactivities will be taken into account for this award.
